Cerro Vista Farm is offering 200 Farm Shares to Taos area residents in 2013. Over 24 members of our CSA community, plus paid workers and farm apprentices, work together to harvest fresh produce five-days-a-week. CSA Farm Shares are harvested and delivered on the same day. Fall Storge Share

The Fall Share is distributed one time during the last week of October. The Fall Share includes 77 lbs of produce plus instructions on how to store it all. Fall Share produce should be eaten during November and December, though it will store longer under ideal conditions. Tthe Fall Share contains 20 lbs Potatoes, 18 lbs Winter Squash, 12 lbs Carrots, 12 lbs Onions, 10 lbs Cabbage, 4 lbs Beets, and 1 lb Garlic. Summer Full Share

The Summer Share season lasts 18 weeks from mid-June through the last week of October. Full Shares include 8 or 9 different items each week selected from the 40 different varieties of field and greenhouse-grown vegetables, herbs, and flowers that we grow. Sustainable Farming 3-Year Full Share

24 weeks of produce each year for three years: Spring Share, Full Summer Share, and Fall Share. Includes $120 in Farm Cash good at the Taos Farmers Market. While CSA Share sales may cover the direct costs of production on a farm, they rarely can pay for acquiring or maintaining the equipment and buildings needed for a farm business to expand and increase productivity. The Sustainable Farming 3-Year Share gives the farmer the extra capital needed to invest in the food production infrastructure.

Sustainable Farming 3-Year Half Share

24 weeks of produce each year for 3 years: Spring Share, Half Summer Share, and Fall Shares included along with $90 in Farm Cash good at the Taos Farmers Market. For small farms to be sustainable, they must be profitable, and in the highly competitive world of cheap food, this means investing in the buildings and equipment needed to increase productivity per worker and per acre.
